Description
We have an opportunity for a talented individual to take a Structural Test Engineer role within our Test & Development (T&D) Group.
The T&D Test Engineer will be responsible for organising, implementing and reporting of both factory and off-site test activities, including chassis homologation, impact testing, wings, floor and other major structures. You will work in a small group of engineers and technicians, understanding the components on test and how to achieve the required test outcomes. An interest and knowledge of composites would be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Work design engineers to understand incoming test requirements in your area of responsibility.
- To plan, deliver and communicate T&D activities in your area of the department.
- Work closely with T&D technicians to ensure correct assembly and setup of your test equipment.
- Devise test protocols, drive files and control tuning to deliver the best possible test outcomes.
- Select the most appropriate sensors and transducers, using your understanding of measurement techniques.
- Ensure that results are reported to the department standards and stored for future recall.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our equipment and methods.
- Demonstrate AMF1 values of honesty, inclusion and collaboration with fellow team members.
- Ideally have several years previous experience working in R&D in motorsport, aerospace or other high-tech industry.
- Understanding of transducers, digital and analogue signals and data logging.
- Understanding of composites materials and how they behave under load.
- Have a degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Motorsport Engineering.
- An enthusiasm for test data analysis and component validation.
- Good numeric and data analysis skills.
