Description

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who will develop and maintain bespoke applications and services used across our engineering, manufacturing, and race operations teams. You will play a key role in delivering reliable, high-performance systems that directly impact how we design, build, and run our race cars.

Working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will collaborate closely with engineers, IT specialists, and external partners to ensure our software meets the highest standards of performance, quality, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software applications and services.
  • Maintain and enhance bespoke tools used across engineering and race operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to ensure timely delivery of software systems and services.
  • Apply engineering discipline, proactive problem-solving, and strong attention to detail to every aspect of development.
  • Participate in technical discussions, team meetings, and cross-functional collaboration to align with engineering and strategic goals.
  • Uphold the Team’s values of excellence, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Solid working knowledge of C# and Kubernetes-based software development.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining scalable, high-performance systems.
  • Practical experience applying Agile principles within software development.
  • Experience delivering software in mission-critical, real-time environments — such as Formula 1, motorsport, aerospace, defence, or financial trading.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
  • Calm, confident, and effective under pressure, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and capable of adapting to a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Committed to Safety, Compliance, and Responsible AI usage.
  • Willingness to be based at Silverstone Campus, with some UK and international travel as required.
