We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our growing IT Team here in Silverstone! Blending deep technical expertise with strategic vision, you’ll lead development of intelligent software solutions powered by GenAI and machine learning, transforming how we engineer performance.
Working closely with domain experts across the team, you’ll identify opportunities where AI, automation, and predictive modelling can accelerate decision-making - whether that’s in simulation support, race strategy, manufacturing workflows, or telemetry analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full software development lifecycle - from design and implementation through to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Design and deliver scalable, high-performance applications in C# within Kubernetes environments.
- Maintain and evolve bespoke software solutions used across engineering and race operations.
- Partner with engineers, data scientists, and operations teams to embed AI-driven intelligence into key systems and workflows.
- Drive engineering excellence and mentor team members to adopt AI-first development practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external contributors, including AI tooling vendors and ML platform providers.
- Ensure reliability, quality, and robustness across all deployed software solutions.
- Uphold the Team’s values of excellence, innovation, and integrity in all work.
- Expert-level proficiency in C# and Kubernetes-based software development.
- Strong grasp of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Proven ability to deliver software in mission-critical, high-demand, or real-time environments - Formula 1, motorsport, aerospace, defence, or financial trading highly desirable.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to build strong working relationships.
- Calm, confident, and effective under pressure.
