Based at our McLaren Technology Centre in Woking for a minimum of 3 days a week with the option of working from home for the remaining 2 days. The role reports into the Corporate Communications Director but will need to build strong relationships with the whole communications team and key stakeholders across the business to effectively execute the role.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.
Our state of the art, sustainable campus offers many facilities including a gym, restaurant and indoor and outdoor break-out areas, as well as direct access to park and common land. The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.

Purpose of the role:
- The McLaren Racing Corporate Communications Team works across all racing series and oversees all partner, licensing, brand and sustainability comms as well as influencer engagement and our executive speaking programme
- This role will lead the delivery of strategic communications objectives and ensure consistent representation of the McLaren Racing business and brand externally
- Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, this role will manage the creation of key comms materials and delivery of media and influencer programmes for major announcements, activations and priorities in line with the team’s priorities, with a focus on proactive brand communications, Sustainability and Licensing

Principal Accountabilities:
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage brand communications delivery across non-motorsport media in line with agreed priorities and objectives
- Manage licensing communications and media engagement programmes around key activations and product launches
- Deliver a comms roadmap for priority licensing partners to maximise brand comms opportunities
- Responsible for the comms delivery around key brand campaigns
- Lead the sports collaboration working group to ensure strategic alignment and delivery of agreed objectives
- Manage driver media profiles and driver media engagement in non-motorsport media. Manage driver briefings and media handling on the day
- Manage sustainability communications around key milestones, announcements, reports, calendar moments and speaking opportunities. Support the team on sustainability messaging for partners where required
- Manage our influencer programme to drive brand awareness and support key commercial priorities/objectives
- Day to day approvals on brand, sustainability and licensing messaging, content, appearances
- Support the Corporate Communications Director on the Executive speaking programme for non-partner events and conferences
- Deliver the roll-out of media training and messaging toolkits, working closely with the Corporate Communications Director
- Support the delivery of the LinkedIn strategy around thought-leadership and non-partner events
- Travel as and when required to support brand, licensing & sustainability activations
- Extensive experience in communications
- Proven experience working with top tier media, influencers and talent, with existing relationships in the lifestyle, entertainment and news space
- Strong storytelling skills
- Experience managing key spokespeople, including messaging and briefing management
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Strong copywriting skills and a keen eye for detail
- Great organisational skills, very confident managing multiple workstreams
- A team player, able to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders effectively and professionally
- Proactive approach to work with a passion for playing a role in a high-performance team on and off the track
