We are looking for a Race Team Powertrains Coordinator to join our factory-based team and ensure seamless powertrain logistics across the globe. If you thrive in high-pressure environments and have a passion for motorsport operations, this is your opportunity to contribute to a world-class racing programme. In this role you will be responsible for managing the movement and support of our powertrain and associated components from the UK to race and test events worldwide. Working closely with the Race Team, Honda and internal departments, you will plan, execute, and oversee all logistics and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage UK-based movement of Powertrains, ERS units, and gearboxes to global events and facilities (MK & Sakura).
- Plan and coordinate shipments via road, air, and sea—including Dangerous Goods and customs documentation.
- Handle import/export compliance and maintain HMRC records.
- Support with loading operations and management of equipment condition and servicing.
- Oversee Powertrain Carnets, tracking, documentation, and inventory—especially during the European season.
- Ensure adherence to air freight security protocols.
- Travel to events as required, providing hands-on logistics support and backup to the Trackside Powertrain Coordinator.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to uphold safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Drive company vehicles safely and professionally, both in the UK and abroad.
- Proven logistics experience in a motorsport or high-performance engineering environment.
- Strong planning, documentation, and customs knowledge, particularly with DG handling and international shipping.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management both internally and externally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for tracking, budgeting, and reporting.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure, solve problems analytically, and deliver results to tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working irregular hours and traveling internationally if and when required.
- Team player with a proactive, can-do mindset and a strong focus on health & safety.
- A willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice and including weekends, is essential to support the demands of the race calendar.
