We have a unique opportunity within our Race Support Team as a Garage Technician. This role offers the unique opportunity to travel and be part of all the Race Support Team calendar events. If you have a passion for motorsport and a relentless drive to succeed, we want to hear from you!

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Mechanic, this role will support test and show car events for the full Race Support Team calendar.

Key areas of responsibility will include, but not restricted to:

  • Ensuring the trucks are packed for each event to a planned truck loading plan
  • Ensure all consumables are loaded, stock checked.
  • Ensure the flight cases are in a good working order, serviced
  • Working to pre-given timelines while at RST events/tests/factory build.
  • Liaise with the Team Manager/Chief Mechanic/Engineer on all tyres/fuel requirements.
  • Ensure the Race Support Team garage equipment/trucks are cleaned.
  • Ensuring the RST garage technician area is kept in a clean/organised area.
  • Attend/support the race team at various F1 tests and Grand Prix if required.
  • Electrically wire up the garage area at the RST events and tyre manager lifing system

The Successful Candidate Must Possess The Following Attributes

  • Be self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Can demonstrate a methodical approach to work, with very good attention to detail and good numerical competence
  • Can prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines, with a flexible approach to both hours and job description
  • Become a dependable team player who can interact and communicate with other departments, as well as work independently when required
