Job Description

Join the Audi F1 Project - Shape the Future of Motorsport!

Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. We have recently opened Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations with support from the UK.

We are now opening applications for our inaugural Graduate Programme. In your graduate role, you will contribute directly to live projects, gaining hands-on experience from day one.

Continuous improvement is at the core of what we do. You will be encouraged to adapt and innovate, strengthening your skills and developing a growth mindset. Clear and effective communication, as well as constructive feedback, will be essential in helping you collaborate across teams. You will share knowledge openly and learn from the experience of your teammates. And we place great emphasis on ownership: you will take responsibility for your work, make informed decisions and understand how your contributions shape the wider team's success.

Your mission

As a graduate member of the Race Performance team, you’ll focus on competitor and pit stop analysis, working closely with Race Engineering, Aerodynamics, Vehicle Performance, and Systems Engineering teams to drive performance insights. Your responsibilities include coordinating, developing, and supporting performance tools to enhance decision-making. This role offers hands-on experience in data-driven performance monitoring, reporting, and insight generation, while giving you the opportunity to work alongside senior engineers, gain exposure to advanced tools and methodologies, and contribute to cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with performance engineers to define and achieve analysis targets.
  • Develop new methodologies to support Race Performance tasks.
  • Support the Race Team with competitor and pit stop analysis.
  • Collaborate across teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Maintain and enhance existing analysis tools.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing new analytical approaches.
  • Provide Operation Room support during test and race events, including weekends.

Your profile

Required Qualifications

  • A university degree in Motorsport Engineering, or a degree in Data Science, Mathematics, or Physics with applied projects in motorsport-related topics or a demonstrated interest in motorsport.
  • Familiarity with motorsport systems, racing data analysis tools (ATLAS, MOTEC), and simulation environments.
  • Proficiency in programming (MATLAB, Python, R, Power BI), Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and CAD tools (CATIA 3DX or V6).
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to clearly communicate findings in written reports and presentations.

Personal Attributes

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Naturally curious with a drive to investigate problems and discover insights.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and data management.
  • Positive attitude, open to feedback, and committed to personal and professional growth.
