Job Description
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join the Trackside Technology team to take responsibility for the planning, coordination, and hands-on execution of IT and technology projects that support trackside operations. This role ensures the timely and effective delivery of robust and reliable trackside infrastructure, systems, and services that support operational excellence during events.
You will attend global race events as part of the team, aligning closely with engineers, infrastructures and services teams, software and data teams, and other stakeholders to guarantee seamless technology integration and delivery in high-pressure environments.

Main duties:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of Trackside Technology projects, ensuring timely implementation and handover.
- Coordinate deployment of new and reworked IT systems and services at circuits, ensuring trackside readiness and alignment with team requirements.
- Attend races and test events to integrate with the wider Trackside Technology function to support aligned project results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather requirements, define project scopes, and align technology solutions to race objectives.
- Manage technical infrastructure at the circuit, including virtualisation, networking, storage, voice/video systems, and monitoring tools.
- Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives to streamline deployment and support capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance during the build and validation of new trackside platforms and services.
- Maintain accurate documentation for systems, deployments, and project milestones.
- Continuously improve processes for delivering repeatable, high-quality technology outcomes at each race.
- Act as a key point of contact for all technical aspects of Trackside Technology delivery.
- Proven track record in delivering complex technical projects in high-pressure environments, preferably motorsport, broadcast, or live event industries.

- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Networking: Routing, Switching, Firewalls, Wireless (Cisco, Palo Alto, CATO)

- Monitoring and telemetry systems (APM, NPM)
- VoIP and video conferencing systems
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and project communication skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously at circuits, with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Collaborative mindset and eagerness to integrate with trackside engineering and operations teams.
- Flexibility for extensive global travel and non-standard working hours.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Hands-on experience in motorsport, live broadcast, or performance-critical technology deployments.
