Job Description

This position is part of Williams Grand Prix Technologies, a Williams Group company.

We’re looking for a sharp, proactive Programme Manager to power up project and programme delivery for Williams Grand Prix Technologies’ leadership and customer initiatives.

You’ll thrive in fast-paced, high-tech environments, bringing deep programme management expertise alongside stellar stakeholder engagement, clear-cut communication, and top-tier organisation skills.

Your mission: to drive continuous improvements, execute programmes flawlessly, and own customer budget management, all while enabling cutting-edge engineering breakthroughs fuelled by F1 innovation and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans to define scope, objectives, timelines, milestones and resource allocation to achieve project success.
  • Hold business and customer project stakeholders to the strategic roadmap, project objectives and project timelines.
  • Coordinate with the team and supporting services to ensure timely execution of project deliverable and adherence to quality standards. Provide project updates reports to the steering committee meetings and for the Board update as required.
  • Track and manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs and escalate issues as required.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or bottlenecks and implement corrective measures as necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Facilitate the process of evaluating and prioritising project demand. Ensure projects are evaluated and prioritised within the context of the business strategy and overall project demand.
  • Understand resource requirements across multiple projects and ensure that priorities are managed.
  • Generate regular reports and updates on project progress, financial performance and key performance indicators for senior management review.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing PMO approaches, policies, procedures and standards.
  • Drive continuous process improvements of project end to end delivery with feedback loops and after-action reviews.
  • Drive a robust approach to risk management and mitigation
  • Ensure a keen understanding between project metrics and business goals.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in programme management roles, demonstrating strong delivery of products or systems
  • Demonstrable experience within the field of High Voltage battery systems in a number of different markets, including examples of concept to delivery of battery systems.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly, capable to pivot and focus on competing initiatives, as well as manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Desirable Knowledge & Experience:

  • Concept to Delivery experience with Battery Systems & Projects
  • Experience in Formula 1, motorsports, automotive, defence or aerospace sectors
  • Certification in Project Management is highly desirable.
