Description

Established in 2022, Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT) is the advanced engineering division of the Aston Martin Racing Performance Group. We apply F1-derived innovation and expertise to deliver high-performance projects outside of Formula One™. With a programme portfolio that spans automotive and non-automotive sectors, AMPT’s mission is to bring the skills, precision, and innovation of Formula One to wider industries.

As a PLM Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and optimising the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems that sit at the heart of AMPT’s advanced engineering projects. You will provide hands-on technical support, maintain system performance, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure PLM tools enable seamless product development, data integrity, and collaboration across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive PLM professional to play a key role in delivering world-class engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for PLM systems, ensuring system availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PLM-related issues for end-users across the business.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and workflows within the PLM environment.
  • Maintain and configure PLM tools to support engineering requirements and business processes.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance across product structures and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver efficient design, change, and release management.
  • Support integration between PLM and other enterprise systems (e.g., CAD, ERP).
  • Contribute to process improvements and system upgrades to enhance performance and usability.
  • Create and maintain accurate system documentation and user guides.
  • Provide training and support to engineers and project teams to maximise PLM adoption and effectiveness.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven experience supporting PLM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault ENOVIA, PTC Windchill, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of engineering processes, product structures, and configuration/change management.
  • Familiarity with CAD system integration and data management.
  • Experience administering user access, workflows, and security within PLM systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in IT tools and databases with solid documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams, supporting both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to prioritise multiple projects effectively.
  • Flexibility to support system upgrades and maintenance outside of core hours when required.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
