We have an exciting opportunity for a No 2 Mechanic to join our F1 Evolution Team. At F1 Evolution, we are committed to engineering excellence and performance at the highest level of motorsport.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring our race cars and support equipment are built, maintained, and operated to the highest standards across all F1 Evolution events.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain allocated areas and car(s) to an exceptional standard across all events.
- Follow build specifications, engineering drawings, manuals, and all safety standards at all times.
- Ensure correct fitment of parts in line with allocations and build documentation.
- Maintain and prepare spare component assemblies.
- Carry out detailed checks on the car to ensure safety, reliability, and performance.
- Report issues promptly to the Chief Mechanic.
- Support winter pit equipment servicing and rebuilds.
- Assist in garage set-up and pack-down at events.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of all car parts, procedures, and team documentation.
- Maintain high levels of professionalism, communication, and teamwork.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Travel to all F1 Evolution events and other required races in line with the team calendar.
- Proven experience as a Race Team Mechanic in F1, F2, F3, Sportscars, or equivalent high-level motorsport.
- In-depth understanding of race car set-up and preparation requirements across all event phases.
- Strong grasp of engineering drawings, build specifications, and part allocations.
- Confident working under pressure, delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and capable of motivating others in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to follow radio protocol.
- A proactive, hands-on problem solver with a flexible, analytical approach.
- Able to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resilient with a willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as needed.
