As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, testing, and development of varied mechanical components for our Formula One car. You will work as part of a highly skilled team responsible for delivering innovative design solutions that support the team’s goal of being a top team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship.

Description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, testing, and development of varied mechanical components for our Formula One car. You will work as part of a highly skilled team responsible for delivering innovative design solutions that support the team’s goal of being a top team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating design schemes from concept stage for mechanical components.
- Producing detailed drawings to facilitate the manufacturing of these components.
- Providing follow-up support during the assembly, testing, and development phases.
- Developing practical solutions to resolve issues arising from testing and development.
- Actively contributing to design concept development and continuous improvements.
- Attending and participating in team meetings and technical discussions.
- Keeping up to date with Formula 1 regulations and industry standards.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant mechanical design experience in a motorsport environment, preferably Formula 1.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD systems, ideally CATIA V6.
- Experience producing high-level design schemes and detailed drawings of complex assemblies under tight deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving skills with an innovative and flexible approach to engineering challenges.
- A strong analytical mindset throughout all stages of the design process.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to work calmly and confidently under pressure to meet deadlines.
- A self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable attitude.
- Commitment to teamwork and the ability to work effectively in a fast-changing environment.
- A solid understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety best practices.
