At Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team, reliability is at the heart of performance. We are seeking an experienced Lead Reliability Engineer to head up reliability efforts within the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team. This is a leadership role, where you will drive reliability strategies, lead a team of engineers, and ensure that our cars achieve maximum performance through robust systems and operational processes. Your expertise will help shape the team’s culture of proactive reliability, embedding continuous improvement at the core of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the reliability function across race events and factory operations, ensuring car integrity, safety and performance.
- Chair reliability meetings during and after events, driving issue resolution, containment actions and accountability.
- Oversee real-time monitoring during sessions, escalating critical concerns.
- Own the reliability workflow from pre-event planning through to post-race analysis.
- Lead the development of reliability tools, processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor, coach and develop a high-performing team of reliability engineers.
- Ensure issues are documented, investigated and resolved within required timescales.
- Provide race and factory event support as part of a rotational system.
- Set clear objectives and responsibilities for the reliability team.
- Provide coaching, training and guidance to ensure team members’ success.
- Develop and maintain a culture of excellence, collaboration and accountability.
- Represent the reliability function across the business with professionalism and leadership.
- Degree-level education (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience within a high-level motorsport environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Atlas 9/10 and Catia 3DX.
- Experience with FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) is desirable.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
- Calm and decisive under pressure, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Results-focused, strategic mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to Health & Safety standards.
- Ability to travel within the UK and internationally.
