An exciting opportunity exists for a Laminate Design Engineer to join our F1 Engineering office here at Atlassian Williams Racing working on a wide variety of projects.
This is a fast-paced environment and to succeed in this role the candidate will need to be adaptable, demonstrate initiative and enjoy working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

As a Laminate Design Engineer, you will be:
- Transferring design and structural information into manufacturable instructions.
- Generating laminate wireframes using CAD.
- Producing laminate plybooks and associated documentation to agreed standards.
- Creating 2D DXF files for transfer to the Kitting Department using Fibresim.
- Assisting with laminate enquiries from inhouse and sub-contract companies.
- Supporting Composite Design when required on various projects.
- Promoting best design practice, including driving continuous improvement to enhance design for manufacture capabilities.
- A good understanding of composites engineering and manufacturing technologies. Hands on experience is also beneficial.
- Strong CAD skills, ideally with experience of NX and Fibresim, however training will be provided for conversion from other CAD systems or beginners.
- A creative, proactive approach to problem-solving, along with attention to detail.
- A friendly, collaborative outlook, with good communication and organization skills.
- The ability to prioritise work to varying deadlines.
- Clear and concise documentation skills.
