Fuelled by bold ambition
Play your part in getting us on the grid.

We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Quality Control Inspector to join our quality team at our Silverstone facility. This is a development-focused role ideal for an individual who has recently completed a Quality or Manufacturing Apprenticeship. Though this is desirable, it is not essential.

This role is the first step in a structured, multi-year development plan designed to build your capabilities in all aspects of quality inspection, metrology, and non-destructive testing (NDT). As a Junior QC Inspector, you'll gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools and processes, with progression opportunities aligned to NPL training and PCN qualifications.

  • Perform dimensional inspections using CMMs, portable arms, and laser trackers under guidance, using PolyWorks and PC-DMIS software.
  • Support manufacturing teams in conducting in-process inspections to verify compliance with design and build specifications.
  • Record inspection results in the QRS system, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Assist with the upkeep of quality control records and documentation.
  • Work with the QC Inspection Manager and experienced inspectors to resolve quality issues.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Ensure inspection tools and gauges are calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Follow health and safety protocols when performing inspection tasks.

What You'll Develop Over Time

With mentorship and formal training, you will progressively:

  • Operate and program metrology equipment (CMM, Leica Tracker, Romer Arm).
  • Conduct goods-in inspections and support NDT operations.
  • Gain NPL Levels 1 and 2 and PCN certifications in DPI, MPI, UT, and Eddy Current.
  • Support trackside inspection and audit activities.
  • Develop the capability to audit suppliers and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

Driven by high performance:
What do you need to bring to the team?

  • Completion of a Quality or Manufacturing Apprenticeship is desirable, but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of metrology principles, GD&T, and inspection tools.
  • Familiarity with inspection software such as PolyWorks and PC-DMIS is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot irregularities.
  • Good communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Competent in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn and grow within the team.

A team like no other.
