We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated Junior Indirect Buyer to join the team and support the procurement of indirect goods and services across the organisation. As a Junior Indirect Buyer, you will be part of a supportive team, learning how to manage suppliers, place purchase orders, and help improve how we buy across the organisation. This is a great opportunity to build your skills in procurement while contributing to the success of one of the most competitive teams in motorsport.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day purchasing activities, including raising purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
- Help with buying a variety of consumable related goods.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholder ensuring we get best value and service.
- Assist in keeping our systems and records accurate and up to date.
- Help monitor costs and look for ways to save money where possible.
- Work with different departments to understand what they need and how procurement can help.
- Learn about procurement best practices and support the team in improving our processes
- Champion compliance with procurement policies and regulatory standards.
- Degree qualified in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Basis understanding of the commercial aspects of low volume small batch manufacture would be beneficial.
- A strong interest in procurement, buying, or supply chain.
- Familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system would be beneficial.
- Good with numbers and detail, confident using Excel and other systems.
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- A team player with strong problem-solving skills.
- Organised and eager to learn, with the ability to manage time and tasks.
- Some experience with suppliers or working in an office environment is helpful, but not essential.
