Job Description
Red Bull Powertrains have created a brand-new state of the art manufacturing facility and require a Junior CNC Grinding machinist to manufacture critical powertrains components using a variety of multi axis Grinding machines to the highest quality.
You will receive structured training, mentoring, and ongoing support to develop the skills and knowledge required to produce essential components for powertrain systems to the highest quality standards. This includes interpreting engineering drawings and models and operating CNC grinding machines efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure that machine tools are used in both a safe and productive manner and abide by company health and safety policies
- To inspect all work on or off the machine tool with the equipment available to you to ensure that the quality of the product is to the highest standard before submission to inspection
- To ensure all shop floor documentation is signed off on the company MRP system and that all products and paperwork always correspond
- Commitment to meet aggressive production targets without ever compromising quality
- Provide clear and accurate updates to the Shift Lead as required, escalating any issues
- Understanding the needs of the department to continually improve its operational
Who You Are:
- Manufacturing experience and ideally Apprentice trained with a recognised engineering related qualification
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and a good understanding of GD&T
- A high level of attention to detail
- Clear and concise communicator
- Experience in grinding is advantageous
- Used to working in a machine shop environment
- Up to date abrasive wheel course and lifting equipment certificates advantageous
- Operating within existing health and safety processes for engineering environments
- Able to work unsupervised following standard operating processes
- PC literate and competent in using Windows applications
