Are you ready to power one of the most iconic names in motorsport? As an IT Trackside Support Engineer, you’ll be a key player in delivering robust, high-performance IT infrastructure across our F1 Trackside Programme and the exciting new F1 Evolution Programme. Your work will directly contribute to our mission: consistently finishing in the top three of the FIA Constructors’ Championship.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and support IT infrastructure including client/server systems, storage, networking, comms, A/V, and security.
- Set up and pack down IT equipment at races and tests, following and refining detailed checklists.
- Provide high-level IT support to stakeholders both trackside and at the factory.
- Collaborate on incident and problem management, ensuring rapid resolution and continuous improvement.
- Support factory mission control on a rotational basis.
- Administer operating systems, applications, and motorsport-specific toolsets.
- Maintain documentation, backups, change management records, and stock control.
- Contribute to IT projects and ensure delivery meets budget, quality, and user satisfaction targets.
- Proven experience with desktop/server platforms: VMware, Windows Server, AD, Exchange, SQL, Office, SANs.
- Strong networking, firewall, security, and A/V skills (Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto preferred).
- ITIL awareness or certification.
- Experience in motorsport IT environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with motorsport-specific systems (e.g., McLaren Applied Technologies).
- Knowledge of cloud technologies: Azure, Office 365, Kubernetes, Linux.
- Highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to excellence under pressure.
- Proficiency in Japanese language is desirable.
