Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Operations Team Lead to drive operational excellence across our IT infrastructure, leading and developing a high-performing team to ensure world-class service delivery in support of our ambition of consistently being a top team in the FIA Constructors’ Championship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and mature the IT Infrastructure Operations Team (2nd/3rd line analysts and engineers).
  • Own and manage the Infrastructure Operations function, ensuring operational efficiency and excellence.
  • Oversee and prioritise IT Infrastructure tasks to maintain optimal application and infrastructure performance.
  • Act as an escalation point for the Infrastructure Operations team, supporting seamless service delivery.
  • Drive continual improvement of ITIL Service Operation Processes (Incident, Problem, Event, Access Management, Request Fulfilment).
  • Enhance IT Infrastructure services and implement service improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Manage infrastructure operations tools (monitoring, backup/recovery, storage, server fleets) and conduct full lifecycle management of assets, licences, and warranties.
  • Maintain support backlogs within defined SLAs and establish effective out-of-hours/weekend support for racing and event operations.
  • Participate in Technical Review Meetings and maintain industry-leading technical knowledge.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure: Windows/Linux Server, Active Directory, M365, Networking, Firewalls, Storage, Azure, DevOps, MS SQL Server, Kubernetes, and AV systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of ITIL Service Operations Processes.
  • Proven experience leading IT infrastructure teams, ideally within Formula One or high-level motorsport environments (desirable).
  • Confident working with cloud-based, on-prem and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
  • Motivated and proactive leader with the ability to inspire and develop others.
  • Calm, confident decision-maker with the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Flexible and collaborative approach, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
