We have an opportunity for an Indirect Buyer to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will be responsible for purchasing non car related goods (indirect) and services for various stakeholders across the company. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team.   • End to end purchase of indirect good and services and pro-active communication with all relevant stakeholders to achieve the most effective procurement
  • Prepare commercial specifications for proposal requests and arrange and facilitate meetings between stakeholders and suppliers when required
  • Request quotations and negotiate optimum value with suppliers and review proposals and provide summary documentation to stakeholders
  • Award orders with agreement from the relative stakeholders and manage all documentation for purchases including the raising of POs
  • To report any delivery exceptions to stake holders in a timely manner to manage expectations and liaise between suppliers and stakeholders to resolve any supply issues
  • Assist with invoice discrepancies when required and ensure compliance with purchasing and finance policies  and develop a thorough working knowledge of the company's ERP system and contribute to its ongoing development

What do you need to bring to the team?

  • CIPS qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is essential.
  • Extensive experience of procurement in a fast-paced industry
  • Proven strong negotiation skills and previous ERP experience
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and suppliers and clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email
  • Previous experience of MS applications including Outlook, Excel, and Teams
  • Flexible attitude with the ability to work within a team in a high pressure rapidly changing environment and positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture
