In this role you will be based at our facility in Enstone, Oxfordshire.

The Role

Alpine Formula One Team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Engineer to champion occupational safety and environmental best practices across our cutting-edge motorsport and manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities

As our HSE Engineer, you will be the subject matter expert in occupational safety engineering, ensuring compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive risk assessments across all operational areas
  • Developing and implementing safe systems of work and safety procedures
  • Enhancing the safety awareness and competence of managers and employees
  • Delivering safety-related training and identifying ongoing training needs
  • Monitoring compliance with HSE legislation and internal policies
  • Investigating incidents and near misses, recommending corrective actions
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspections, audits, and reports
  • Liaising with external regulatory bodies and ensuring statutory reporting
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business
  • Conducting HSE inductions for new team members
  • Promoting environmental protection and supporting EDI goals

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a proactive, solution-focused individual with a passion for safety and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have:

  • NEBOSH Certificate and IEMA Foundation Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in occupational safety, ideally in manufacturing or motorsport
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and risk management
  • Experience developing and implementing safe systems of work
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence a positive safety culture and environmental awareness
  • Strong organisational and time management capabilities
