We have a new opportunity to be part of our Manufacturing team in the role of Head of Composite Manufacturing to lead the transition and development of in-house composite component production, deliver operational excellence, and actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship.

Description
We have a new opportunity to be part of our Manufacturing team in the role of Head of Composite Manufacturing to lead the transition and development of in-house composite component production, deliver operational excellence, and actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the transition of all insourced composite manufacturing, including recruitment strategy, equipment installation, process improvements, and capacity planning to meet performance and delivery targets.
- Driving operational performance by optimising resource allocation, production schedules, workflow processes and cost forecasting to ensure efficient, high-quality output within budget.
- Improving quality and delivery of composite assemblies by introducing process control measures and working closely with the Quality team to meet exacting standards.
- Developing the composite laminating function by increasing headcount, advancing skill levels, and introducing technologies such as CATIA workbenches, digital clean rooms, and laser projection systems.
- Providing leadership and strategic direction across all areas of composite production, setting clear goals, KPIs and metrics, while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and team empowerment.
- Embedding strong communication and collaboration with Production Control, Procurement, Build, Design, and Race Team to ensure aligned priorities and consistent delivery.
- Championing operational excellence through visual management systems, executive-level and workgroup KPIs, and active engagement in cross-functional performance reviews.
- Managing and developing a high-performing team with clear responsibilities and objectives, aligned to Team Values and culture of safety, transparency, and accountability.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive work environment where people are supported through coaching, training, performance reviews, and leadership development.
- Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards across all areas of responsibility and contributing to a culture of safety-first thinking.
- Extensive knowledge of composite manufacturing processes within a high-performance or motorsport environment.
- Demonstrable experience in leading, managing, and developing technical departments in a fast-paced and evolving setting.
- Proven ability to plan and execute insourcing strategies, including recruitment, equipment commissioning, and process development.
- Strong track record of delivering quality and efficiency improvements through continuous improvement and innovation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across business functions.
- Experience with cost management, forecasting, and delivering manufacturing output within financial constraints.
- Ability to remain calm and confident under pressure, balancing multiple priorities and making informed decisions.
- Commitment to developing people and fostering a culture that promotes excellence, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Clear understanding of Health & Safety requirements in a manufacturing environment, with a proactive approach to embedding standards.
