Job Description

The Events Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and enhancement of both commercial partner and public-facing events within our Experience Centre at Grove. With a strong focus on premium guest experiences, this role ensures all events deliver operational excellence, embody the company brand, and exceed expectations for clients, partners, and visitors alike. The Events Manager will manage the Events Coordinator, while working collaboratively across internal departments and external suppliers to create memorable, hospitality-driven experiences that align with our brand and company vision.

Main Duties

  • Event Leadership: Plan, manage, and oversee the delivery of commercial partner and public-facing events from concept through to execution, ensuring alignment with company objectives and brand values.
  • Team Management: Lead and support the Events Coordinator to ensure effective planning, delivery, and evaluation of all events.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for commercial partners and clients, developing strong relationships and ensuring high satisfaction and return engagement, resulting in premium feedback.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Commercial, Operations, and Creative to ensure seamless integration of events into broader business and brand strategies along with other potential key internal stakeholders.
  • Public Engagement: Devise and execute marketing strategies to promote public events, ensuring strong attendance and engagement in line with departmental OKR’s.
  • Supplier Management: Source, brief, and manage external suppliers including AV, catering, décor, and logistics to ensure quality, reliability, and budget control.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability while maintaining high-quality execution.
  • Brand: Uphold and enhance the company brand through all event touchpoints, ensuring consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity.
  • Event Evaluation: Gather feedback, generate reports, and recommend improvements for future events to continually elevate the visitor and partner experience aligned with company OKR’s.

  • Ensure understanding of cost cap requirements and identify opportunities to improve optimisation.

  • Brand Alignment: Strong understanding of brand positioning and how to translate this into experiential activations.
  • Commercial opportunities: Proven ability to manage budgets, locate external suppliers, and deliver ROI-driven events.
  • Creativity & Innovation: Ability to think creatively to design engaging, original events that stand out in a competitive landscape.
  • Client Relationship Management: Track record of building trusted relationships and managing expectations with commercial partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications And Experience Level

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in event management, ideally within an experiential, Hospitality and brand-driven environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful high end large-scale events and public engagement campaigns.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
  • Proficiency in event software/tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working with agencies and external suppliers.
