We are looking for a skilled and motivated Composites Technician to join our world-class Formula 1 team. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our race car through the preparation, assembly, and maintenance of composite components both at base and trackside. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a team driven by precision, innovation, and a shared goal of pushing boundaries. The role is predominantly factory based however travel will be required to support various on track and dyno events.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble high-quality composite components across AMR projects, adhering to design and aero intent.
- Provide full composites support to the Race Team, pre and post-event, including part turnaround and maintenance.
- Travel as part of the Race Team to provide on-event composites support.
- Service and maintain composite garage and pit equipment during the season.
- Support aero development by ensuring composite components meet aerodynamic specifications.
- Report faults and collaborate closely with the Reliability and Quality departments to ensure optimum build quality.
- Assist with show car builds and display vehicles.
- Participate in pit crew training and demonstrate flexibility in supporting race operations.
- Perform other duties as required in line with the role.
- Proven composites laminating and trimming experience in F1 or high-level motorsport.
- Recent trackside or race team experience is advantageous.
- Confident in reading and working from detailed CAD drawings.
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative team-focused approach.
- Highly motivated, calm under pressure, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
- To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
- Working knowledge of reliability, inspection, and quality assurance processes.
