Description
As a Composite Laminator, you’ll be part of a team responsible for delivering world-class carbon fibre components that help shape the performance of the F1 car. Working with precision, pace, and pride, you’ll follow detailed laminate manuals, prepare tooling to the highest standards, and support every stage of the laminating process – from lay-up to autoclave to final breakout. Collaborating closely with skilled teammates in a fast-moving environment, your work will directly contribute to our pursuit of excellence on track, and our ultimate goal of being a top team in the FIA Constructors’ Championship.

Description

Key Responsibilities
- Laminating of composite components to the highest quality standard and to a set production schedule using engineering drawings and laminate manuals.
- Mould and tool preparation to pre-defined standard.
- Loading/unloading autoclaves and breaking out components.
- Ensuring materials used are as specified and laid up in accordance with design data.
- Successfully meeting challenging and demanding deadlines.
- The ability to multitask whilst remaining organised and focused.
- Maintaining consistent high standards.
- Being proactively aware of Health and Safety requirements and ensuring they are met.
- Dealing with technical challenges as and when they arise and know when to seek assistance if unsure.
- Extensive experience of composite laminating, ideally in Formula One, other motorsport or the automotive industry.
- An ability to understand and interpret technical engineering drawings, laminate manuals, and CAD operations for viewing.
- Thorough understanding of composite manufacturing processes and materials.
- Excellent manual skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A methodical and thorough approach to work.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with the ability to work well with colleagues.
- Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a dependable team player.
- Have a positive attitude and be willing to help throughout the department.
- Work well under pressure to meet time critical deadlines.
- Have a flexible attitude to working hours where required.
