We have an exciting opportunity to join our Composite Manufacturing Department at Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.
About the role:
We are currently seeking a Composite Kit Cutter to join the team on night shift. Working in the Materials Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for supplying kits of composite pre-preg to the Laminating Team and for supporting the autoclave operation including demoulding parts and preparing laminating moulds.
The nightshift operates Monday to Thursday starting at 20:00 (8pm) and finishing at 06:30.

Key accountabilities (duties):
- Working from the manufacturing schedule, cut kits for the laminating team using an automated cutting machine
- Ensure material out-life is logged and managed to optimise material usage
- The ability to read technical drawings/ layup manuals
- Digitising templates, kit building, and nesting as required
- Transfer of material from freezer to kit cutting area
- Ensuring a high level of housekeeping in the area to enable supply of fault free kits
- Working in accordance with the department Health and Safety requirements
- Fulfil external supply material requests
- Demould cured parts
- Preparation of mould assemblies
- Support of autoclave operations
- Able to operate forklift safely (training provided if required)
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate previous experience from at least one of the following: kit cutting, demoulding and mould preparation, or running autoclaves.
- PC literacy skills are required i.e. Microsoft Office Suite and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- A methodical and thorough approach to your work with excellent attention to detail.
- Have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and be willing to help and support the team.
- Be a self-motivated, proactive, enthusiastic and a dependable team player.
- Work well under pressure to meet time critical deadlines.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience in using automated kit cutting machines is beneficial but training will be provided
