Job Description

Red Bull Racing & Technology have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Composite Technician to join our well-established travelling Composites team. Primarily supporting race and test events, this role is perfect for those wanting to develop their skills in a high-performing team in F1. Between events the role will operate in the heart of our innovative and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, following our factory pit stop and car build calendar and supporting the Composite Event Support department.


Key Responsibilities

  • To work with other Composite Event and Support Technicians, Lead Technicians and Team Leaders, as well as other supply chain leaders to understand priorities and deadlines.
  • Support Race, Test and Heritage events as required, along with supporting factory activities between events, including but not limited to car build and pit stop practice.
  • Responsible for the assembly, configuration and maintenance of assemblies to exact specifications, and FIA regulations, ensuring the highest aerodynamic standards are achieved.
  • Responsible for the quality of parts produced, ensuring all appropriate processes are carried out, and that any deviations from specification are identified, and if possible corrected prior to progressing.
  • To maintain effective communication channels with all shifts and departments to ensure work is transferred effectively through the company.
  • To always maintain professional standards of housekeeping.
  • To ensure that company policies and procedures are followed, seeking advice where appropriate.


Essential Criteria

  • Extensive knowledge of Composite Manufacturing, assembly, and repair processes.
  • Strong competence in the assembly of complex composite mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and process sheets.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressured team environment and to be self-motivated to meet tight deadlines.
  • To be work flexible when additional shifts and working hours are required.
  • Actively support the Apprentice and Junior training programme.
  • Champion continuous improvement throughout the department.
