We have a new opportunity to be part of our Composites Design team in the role of Composite Design Engineer.

Join our world-class engineering team at the heart of Formula 1 innovation. As a Composite Design Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-performance composite components across the full design lifecycle—from concept through to testing and development. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and refine your design expertise within a high-performance F1 environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop composite assemblies, including associated jigs, tooling, and patterns.
  • Produce detailed 3D surfacing and define laminate specifications.
  • Support the assembly, testing, and development of components.
  • Resolve design challenges arising during validation and development.
  • Collaborate across teams to refine concepts and optimise performance.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in composites or mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience designing complex composite assemblies.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (ideally CATIA/3DX), including surfacing and detailed design.
  • Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing methods, particularly pre-preg.
  • Experience in motorsport or high-performance engineering (desirable).
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Calm under pressure with strong organisational skills and adaptability.
  • Commitment to Health & Safety and quality standards.
