About the role:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our Main Machine Shop, working across an early/late shift pattern. Early/late shift pattern is across Monday to Friday. Early shift starts at 06:00 and finishes 14:30 (2:30pm) and late shift starts 14:00 (2pm) and finishes 22:30 (10:30pm).

Key Accountabilities (duties) include:

  • Programme, set, and operate Mazak machines including Integrex J200, Quick Turn 200MY, and Quick Turn 100.
  • Use Siemens NX CAM software to create CNC programmes for low to mid-complexity turned and mill/turn parts.
  • Use of Mazatrol conversational programming for low complexity turned components.
  • Ensure high-quality output by following established manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Maximise machine efficiency and throughput while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and efficiency.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication across shift teams.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and uphold high professional standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • You would have completed a recognised apprenticeship and hold relevant engineering qualifications.
  • You will have proven experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes and mill/turn machines, particularly using Siemens NX and Mazatrol.
  • You will have effective communication skills and the ability to remain focused and objective under pressure. A process-oriented mindset and the ability to logically solve complex problems will be essential.
  • You should be resilient, professional, and committed to the concept of continuous improvement. Additionally, you will demonstrate a strong work ethic, customer focus, and energy.
  • Flexibility in hours and a proactive, can-do attitude are required, as is the ability to work well in a team under pressure, to strict deadlines, and with minimal supervision.

Benefits:
