CNC Machinist Nights 12-month FTC

Description

We are looking for a CNC Machinist Nights to join our Pattern Shop team working on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role you will responsible for producing carbon fibre components, moulds, jigs, patterns, and Rohacell parts to the highest standards using 5-axis CNC machinery.


Key Responsibilities

• Machine composite components using advanced 5-axis CNC machines and offline programming.
• Produce complex patterns, moulds, jigs, and Rohacell parts to exacting tolerances.
• Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
• Monitor workflow to meet strict production deadlines and feedback any delays or quality issues.
• Maintain CNC machines, tools, and workspaces to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with CNC Programmers and other departments to continuously improve machining processes.
• Support the Pattern Shop when composite workload is low.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements in speed, quality, and accuracy.
  
  
  

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Strong understanding of composite machining techniques and tight-tolerance manufacturing.
• Experience in a Pattern Shop or similar setting within Formula One or high-level motorsport.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC programming, Pattern Making processes, and offline machining methods.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and working hours – especially during car build phases.
• A positive, proactive approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• A strong commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-first attitude.
• Confident working under pressure to tight deadlines.

Please note this role is working on a night shift Tuesday - Friday.
