We have a unique opportunity within our Race Support Team as a Chief Mechanic. This role offers the unique opportunity to travel and be part of all the Race Support Team calendar events. If you have a passion for motorsport and a relentless drive to succeed, we want to hear from you!
As Chief Mechanic – Race Support Team, You Will
Lead and manage a team of skilled mechanics in the preparation, build, and maintenance of Formula 1 cars for testing and promotional events.
Collaborate closely with engineering, logistics, and race teams to ensure seamless integration of technical updates and event readiness.
Oversee garage operations during non-race events, ensuring all procedures meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Be a key contributor to continuous improvement initiatives, driving innovation in build processes and component reliability.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a senior mechanic or chief mechanic role within a top-tier motorsport environment (F1, WEC, FE, etc.).
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Deep technical knowledge of F1 car systems, build specifications, and garage operations.
Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and international events.
Desirable Skills
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of all aspects of building/maintaining an F1 car in a high-level motorsport environment. They will be highly organised, an excellent team player with a passion for working for a team with championship winning ambitions. Experience with hybrid power units and high-voltage systems.
Familiarity with FIA regulations and compliance procedures.
Proficiency in using team-based software tools for build tracking and reporting.
