We’re looking for a passionate and talented CFD Engineer to join our dynamic Computational Fluid Dynamics group at the forefront of Formula One innovation.
As a CFD Engineer, you'll play a critical role in developing cutting-edge CFD methods and automation processes, supporting our aerodynamicists across a range of high-impact correlation projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your skills will directly contribute to our goal of consistently being a top-three team in the FIA Constructors' Championship.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance CFD processes and applications, including programming (Python).
- Update CFD baselines following aero group wind tunnel sessions and refine process best practices.
- Support aero CFD projects, focusing on correlation with wind tunnel and track data.
- Provide analysis and technical support to the Aerodynamics department.
- Transform ideas into innovative, practical solutions.
- Contribute to departmental projects and attend key meetings.
- Work proactively and collaboratively, adhering to company standards and structures.
- Degree in Aerodynamics, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong background in CFD development, with knowledge of aerodynamics and heat transfer.
- Proficient in Python programming.
- Experience with 3D CAD systems (preferably CATIA), mesh generation, and post-processing.
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, positive, and driven, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Team player with a flexible attitude and willingness to travel as required.
- Experience in a Formula One environment is a plus.
