Business Intelligence Analyst – FinanceBrackley, UK

The Role:

TheBusiness Intelligence Analyst, reporting into the Finance Transformation Lead, will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining reporting solutions to support the finance function. You should have the ability to innovate whilst paying close attention to the detail.

This role requires an understanding of financial data, being comfortable working across large datasets, building robust dashboards and reports, and collaborating with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful financial reporting. With a proactive mindset and strong communication skills, you can translate data findings into business recommendations that drive performance and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collect, interpret, and analyse financial data from various sources to support the wider team enable business decision-making.
  • Create, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions to support Financial analysis.
  • Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Work closely with finance and other departments to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to provide actionable insights across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Create and manage consistent reporting templates to ensure standardisation across the department.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across Bl platforms.
  • Continuously improving reporting requirements and optimising reporting solutions

Candidate profile

  • A strong background in financial reporting and data analysis.
  • Experience in a high-performance, fast-paced environment, preferably within the sports or entertainment industries, is advantageous.
  • Understanding of financial data, systems and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated experience of driving change.
  • A Finance qualification is preferred but not essential
  • Proficiency in BI tools (PowerBI).
  • Experience with financial modelling and analysis tools, including Excel, SQL, and data warehousing platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and interpret significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Ability to identify innovative yet practical solutions to complex problems and get buy in from peers.
  • Enthusiastic about implementing change and enhancing stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing environments
  • SAP experience desirable but not essential
