We are looking for a Build Process Engineer to help drive consistency, efficiency, and excellence within our Build & Car Assembly Group. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to our performance on the track, working alongside world-class teams in a fast-paced and high-performance engineering environment. In this role you will collaborate across technical and production departments to drive continuous improvement and deliver best-in-class build processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Intelligent Tooling Programmes (ITPs) aligned with engineering drawings, SOPs, and WIs.
- Create and manage build and sign-off check sheets for assemblies.
- Work closely with Production Planning to streamline shop order routings and support real-time production needs.
- Capture best practices from the workshop floor and turn them into actionable, standardised procedures.
- Support fault investigations with Reliability and implement containment measures.
- Champion ISO 9001 compliance and 6S principles across the group.
- Collaborate with Design Engineers to clarify build and tooling requirements.
- Contribute to Health & Safety through risk assessments, COSHH management and PPE standards.
- Support implementation of new processes to ensure alignment across teams.
- F1 experience in a similar role is essential.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (IFS, SAP or similar).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 6S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to interpret complex CAD drawings and technical documentation.
- Confident communicator with a hands-on approach and a proactive mindset.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
